permaculture

permaculture is a collection of principles and techniques developed by bill mollison and david holmgren in the seventies for building sustainable, closed-loop systems, inspired by nature. most commonly the ideas are applied to agriculture (growing food) but they can also extend to other areas such as building and technology.
